Belarus: EuroFest 2012 details announced
Sumbissions period opens on the first of November
Belarus will return to the ‘EuroFest’ national selection format for 2012, broadcaster Belteleradiocompany has just announced. “The qualifications are held in accordance with the Regulation, developed by the organizer, and the Rules of the contest determined by the European Broadcasting Union”, a statement read.
Interested parties can submit their entries from 1st November until 25th November by mailing the broadcaster via secured post to the following address: 220807, Minsk, Makaenka Str., 9. No more than 15 of the applicants will be selected by an internal jury to go into the semifinal, which will take place in December of this year. Up to five acts may be put through to the final by a combination of jury and televoting.
In January of 2012 the final will be held where one act will be selected, again by a combination of jury and public voting, to represent Belarus in Baku. Throughout the months of the selection, special “EuroFest Diaries” will be shown on television. Belarus scored their second ever qualification in Oslo, but missed out last year in Düsseldorf.
