NRK has announced two more acts to participate in one of the semi finals of Melodi Grand Prix 2012. Rodi Myntevik and Killer Queen join the list of participants.
Rodi Myntevik is a Christian singer. Ever since his first appearance in 2003, he became big star in the Norwegian Christian music scene, and most of his songs have become classics in the church repertoire. Rodi recorded three albums up to date, every one with a Christian message. In the last couple of years, Rodi is living in London, where he also started composing pop songs, and as he says, he “saw the world from a new angle”. His entry in Melodi Grand Prix follows his new “pop music direction”.
Killer Queen (true name - Reidun Sæther) says that she is a Eurovision fan as long as she can remember, and adds that Sandra Kim is a true heroine. She will take part in Melodi Grand Prix with a very successful and well-known composer team - Ovi (who represented Romania together with Paula Seling in 2010, finishing 3rd in the Contest), Thomas G:Son (a multiple Eurovision composer, who composed Carola’s “Invincible“) ,and Tommy Berre. Reidun says that she can sing high and low, and very strong, so the song is perfect for a vocalist who does not like limits. She has performed at the University Square during the World Cup Skiing last winter, and she seems ready to rock the Eurovision stage now!
