The 2012 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Baku’s newly-constructed Crystal Hall, the European Broadcasting Union has announced.
Speaking to eurovision.tv, Jon Ola Sand said “We are excited to hold the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in a brand new, state-of-the-art concert hall. Now that we have the assurance that the construction will be ready in time, we can look really forward to the contest.”
The new arena, which will eventually seat 23,000 people, will have a capacity of 16,000 for all three Eurovision shows in May.
