As it was announced right before the Junior Eurovision in Yerevan, the 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Netherlands this year. It has already been announced by the EBU and host-broadcaster AVRO that the contest will take place on 1 December at the HMH concert venue, an arena known for its amazing acoustics and many other features. Its capacity is 3000-4000 people and tickets will be on sale in summer.

The 2012 contest will be the 10th edition of the popular event. For the second time in its history, AVRO will be the Host Broadcaster.
On April 15 the first preperations for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song contest kicked off. After some regional auditions, the final auditions will take place and within a few weeks, we will know the 8 Dutch finalists in the running to represent the host nation. Sweden also held their initial audtitions yesterday, meaning that preparations for Amsterdam are in full swing there too.
