Baku 2012: Opening & Interval Acts Confirmed
Opening acts will reflect the culture of Azerbaijan
The European Broadcasting Union have finally confirmed the interval acts for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. ”The opening and interval acts of Eurovision Song Contest 2012 two Semi-Finals and the Grand Final are the mugham legend Alim Gasimov, Natiq rhythm band, Azerbaijan National Dance Ensemble, singer and composer Emin” said Eurovision.tv today.
Emin (pictured) was announced by his record label as being a part of this year’s final in the middle of last month. The EBU continued that “local and foreign dance groups and singers will perform during the opening ceremony and interval acts of the Final on 26th of May. Foreign dancers, DJs, a music band made of Eurovision Song Contest stars, the participants of previous contests, as well as other popular local and foreign singers will present their shows during the Semi-Finals’ interval acts”.
Former Russian winner Dima Bilan previous said that the orgnaisers had invited him to Baku, and he is expected to perform during the internal in the second semifinal.
