The big shock here is that France would have scored 0 points in the Eurovision final had just a televote been used- and that would have been the first time a country scored 0 in the final since the competition was expanded in 2004. The UK came last on the jury vote, but came 21st on public voting.

Sweden won both votes, although edged the televote by just 11 points of Russia- who the juries placed 11th. Italy were placed 17th by the televote, whilst Turkey placing 4th on televoting brought them up to 7th overall- juries putting them 22nd!

Iceland also achieved a ‘perfect split’ finishing 19th on all votes. From the public they scored 39 points, and the jury gave them 53- an average of 46 which is just what the split gave them!

Latvia 16 17 15 18 18 17
Belgium 17 16 18 2 15 38
Austria 18 8 17 15 17 27

Iceland made the final thanks to the televote alone, whilst Hungary got through on a jury vote. Switzerland would have made the final on a straight televote, in contrast to Israel who would have qualified if just the juries were voting.

Slovakia 18 22 15 32 15 40

Turkey would have failed to qualify for a second year running if the juries vote alone counted, but placing fifth on the public vote helped them through. Juries  put through Georgia and Croatia who failed to make it through on the combined vote, and also helped Ukraine and Malta in to the final. Televoting would have seen Bulgaria make the final for the first time since 2007, and The Netherlands for the first time since 2004.

*We are aware that Bulgaria placed 11th and thus should not be in bold, however we are re-producing the EBU’s version of the results published.
