General: Swedes Pick Key Team
SVT reveals its key organisers
The host broadcaster of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, SVT, has announced its key team of three joining Executive Producer Martin Österdahl in preparation for next year’s event.
The announcement sees Christel Tholse Willers appointed Head of Relations, Johan Bernhagen as Head of Production, and Head of Delegation and Melodifestivalen organiser Christer Björkman installed as SVT’s Show Producer for Eurovision 2013. “Christel Tholse Willers will be responsible for branding, new media, communication and coordination. John Bernhagen will be responsible for the international television broadcast and production and services, and Christer Björkman for the content and format of the shows” said an EBU press release.
Eurovision Song Contest fans will now watch and wait to see what mark of its own SVT puts on the main contest itself, after already having upped the number of on-stage performers to eight and allowing pre-recorded backing vocals in their national final Melodifestivalen.
