Eurovision 2012

Special: Calling All Photographers!

Your photos of Baku could win great prizes

The European Azerbaijan Society is inviting Eurovision fans who travelled to Baku for this year’s Song contest to take part in a special photography competition that they are organising.

TEAS, which has offices in London, Brussels, Paris, and Berlin, are running a competition with the theme of ‘the beautiful and historic country of Azerbaijan’. As thousands of Eurovision fans visited Baku and beyond in May, they would like to extend the invitation to enter to any Eurovision fans who wish to take part.

All types of photographs are welcome to be submitted, from portraits and landscapes to action and architectural – the only criterion is that the photos are related to Azerbaijan.

A selection of fantastic prizes (full details to be announced soon) will be awarded to the winners, and additionally their photographs will be exhibited at the prestigious La Galleria Pall Mall, London in November 2012, to which the international media and public will be invited. The exhibition will then be presented at galleries in Paris, Berlin, Brussels and other European cities during late 2012–early 2013. The winning photos will be selected by a panel of internationally-recognised experts.

More information will be made available on the TEAS website here, where you can also find details of the entry criteria and how to enter. Submissions must include: entrants name, address and telephone number, and be emailed to: [email protected]. The closing date for entries is 15 October 2012, 17.00 GMT.
