Montenegro: J-Da wins Sunčane Skale 2012

The 18th edition of the Sunčane Skale festival just finished. In the competition where 24 songs took part, the 17 members of the jury have chosen J-Da as the winner, with the song “Gel Gel”.

The 24 participants tonight came from 19 different countries (including two international duets). There were some former Eurovision participants competing in this festival – Nuša Derenda (Slovenia 2001), Vlatko Ilievski (Macedonia 2011), Marcin Mrozinski (Poland 2010), Magazin (Croatia 1995, with Andrea – Croatia 2009), and singers who entered their countries’ Eurovision national selections but didn’t win so far – Andrej Ilić (Serbia), Aleksandar Belov (Macedonia), Rikke Normann (Norway), and others.

In the interval act of the festival, there were Petar Grašo and Tonči Huljić (composers of various Croatian Eurovision entries), and Marija Šerifović (winner of Eurovision 2007).

The winner of the festival is J-Da from Turkey with 83 points, just one point ahead of second-placed Seyran from Azerbaijan, and eight points ahead of third placed Marcin Mrozinski from Poland.
