Estonia: Sandra Nurmsalu in new collaboration.

Urban Symphony singer in collaboration with Eesti Laul 2013 potential.

Sandra Nurmsalu who in 2009 ended Estonia’s qualification drought as part of the group Urban Symphony has recorded a new song with Estonian electronic performer Sinine.

Sinine (Estonian for ‘Blue’) is the stage name of Estonian electronica singer, songwriter & producer Mauno Meesit who in 2009 was named newcomer of the year at the Estonian Music Awards and has had success internationally, particularly in Germany as well as being a personal favourite of Estonian president Toomas-Henrik Ilves.

The track Sel Teel (Down This Road) was recorded for Sinine’s second album “Dreams Come True”. The collaboration came about after Meesit met up with Nurmsalu at the Estonian R2 Music Awards Gala a few years ago, and the idea of collaboration formed after both confessed admiration for each other’s musical skills backstage and was kept in mind until Sinine started work on the second album and the dream was realised.

When asked about a possible participation in Eesti Laul, Meesit all but confirmed his intent to participate stating that he “didn’t deny the possibility of Sinine participating in Eesti Laul 2013”.

A free download of Sel Teel is available here and you can listen to the song below.

Sinine can also be found on Facebook, Soundcloud and Twitter.
