Time for another recap!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:15 pm

He’s performing Juliet and Running.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:14 pm

Time for András Kállay-Saunders.

I feel pretty confident to say whatever Hungary picks, it’s not going to top András’ result in Copenhagen.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:12 pm

I personally just want Boggie now. I think that’s the only right choice at this moment.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:11 pm

I think Rui may be right. Spoon has had the televoting favour throughout the show, they’re the ones we know have support. Boggie and Ádám got a 9 from the app voting, so they’re in with a shot as well. What exactly Zoltán is doing there, I’m not sure.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:09 pm

Rui Craveiro lets us know:

I hope it’s Boggie – but I’m afraid it won’t be her… 🙁

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:08 pm

I’m still in shock to be honest. Philip Rákay and Jeno Csiszár killed Kati off with their own bare hands. And Passed went home with 0 points. A shock.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:05 pm

Time for an interval now, previously eliminated act Leander Rising.

Zoltán Mujahid – 22
Ádám Szabó – 12
Boggie – 24
Spoon – 30

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:02 pm

So both Kati and Passed go home… What the actual.

Well then, these four will battle it out!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:01 pm

So, the superfinalists:

1. 28 – Ádám Szabó
2. 24 – Boggie
3. 20 – Spoon
3. 20 – Zoltán Mujahid

Nick van Lith
February 28, 201510:00 pm

Philip is the last….

4: Kati
6: Boggie
8: Ádám
10: Spoon

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:59 pm

Jeno:

4: Kati
6: Zoltán
8: Ádám
10: Spoon

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:58 pm

Magdi:

4: Zoltán
6: Ádám
8: Kati
10: Boggie

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:57 pm

It’s 10 for Zoltán, 8 for Boggie, 6 for Ádám, 4 for ÍV from Pierrot

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:56 pm

So, Pierrot, Magdi, Jeno and Philip will all give their set of points. Top four qualifies for the superfinal.

Oh no, first we’re getting some funny clips. It seems. Jury is thinking about their points.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:49 pm

Time for jury votes!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:46 pm

So that’s eight songs done and still fifty minutes left. Bet we’re getting the jury votes now then!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:45 pm

Beside You

No no no, Zoltán, this is not good. Vocally you’re decent, but your outfit isn’t. Instead of his army outfit we’ve seen in his first two performances, it’s now a Madonna cape with a white army suit underneath. Dreadful outfit.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:41 pm

Time for the last song already. It’s Zoltán Mujahid!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:37 pm

Fire

I really like this. I like her voice, I like the Adele style song, gets stuck in my head. Not keen on the simple performance or the dubstep bridge though.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:34 pm

Time for ÍV!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:32 pm

With ÍV and Zoltán left to perform, we’ve seen all favourites already. Let us know on Twitter which of those 4 was your favourite: Boggie, Kati Wolf, Passed or Ádám Szabó!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:26 pm

Mesmerize

No.

I’d just want to leave it at that, but I can’t, really… I love harp music, I love a harp in pop music, but this just is wrong on so many levels. The lead singer can’t dance and she really can’t hold a tune. The lyrics are dreadful, the song is terrible and so is the singer.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:21 pm

Time for Passed. If you like them, I’m sorry for my comments.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:18 pm

Give Me Your Love

Yeah it’s decent, yeah he’s good, yeah the song is ok and yeah I like a ballad. But no, this is not the right choice for Hungary. Ádám has a big voice, but his big notes fall flat and don’t do much. The big notes turn this song into a mess. I mean, it’s not torture to listen to this, but with Kati and Boggie in, this can’t win. It just can’t.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:14 pm

The third favourite is up next. It’s Ádám Szabó!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:11 pm

Ne Engedj El

I think this is a pretty certain superfinalist. She’s famous, she’s got the song, she won her semi, got the jury support. And in the final she’s dangerous as this song is the most Eurovisionlike song of them all PLUS it’s the only one in Hungarian.
This is a great performance, she owns that stage.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:07 pm

She won the second semifinal, so she is also a favourite tonight.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20159:07 pm

Here we go, it’s time for Kati Wolf!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20158:58 pm

Keep Marching On

This thing is catchy. It’s a good amount of fun. And then there’s the lead singer who’s going all out and does a kind of bridge in Hungarian which sounds odd, way off and doesn’t fit the song. What the actual…

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20158:53 pm

Now, time for the fangirl moment for many Hungarian girls. It’s Spoon!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20158:51 pm

Wars For Nothing

I think this is stunning beauty. Yes, you may call it boring, goes nowhere, et cetera. I’ve said it about songs myself in the past. This however is a cry for peace. A genuine cry for peace that hits me.
Boggie is a bit shaky at the start, but she picks up brilliantly after that. Her new, blue dress is awesome. She’s awesome. This can and possibly should win.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20158:47 pm

THE favourite to win now. It’s Boggie!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20158:42 pm

That’s How It Goes

The only swing song tonight and that is going to give Bálint some votes. If he gets to the superfinal. I don’t think he will though.
The song is decent enough, Bálint is a great performer with a good song, good style and a great voice. I’m still not convinced by his shiny suit.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20158:38 pm

Here we go then! Song 1 is Bálint Gájer!

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20158:37 pm

So, about tonight’s procedures. Nothing like the past weeks. The jury will not vote right after a song. Instead, they’ll vote when all songs have been performed. They’ll give 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and finally 12 to their top six. The top 4 after all four jury members have voted make it to the 100% televoting superfinal.

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20158:34 pm

Tonight’s running order:
1 Bálint Gájer – That’s How It Goes
2 Boggie – Wars For Nothing
3 Spoon – Keep Marching On
4 Kati Wolf – Ne engedj el
5 Ádám Szabó – Give Me Your Love
6 Passed – Mesmerize
7 Ív – Fire
8 Zoltán Mujahid – Beside You

Nick van Lith
February 28, 20158:30 pm

Here come our hosts again!

Nick van Lith
