I am disappointed with the level of songs and hope that on Thursday we can see a contender to put Portugal back on track in Eurovision. It’s hard to choose the best three but I guess that Yola Dinis, Adelaide Ferreira and Filip Baptista will make the cut!

6. Adelaide Ferreira – Paz
The last song for tonight is by Adelaide Ferreira. She is clad in a black long dress. This singer can really sing and voice is very strong. It’s a pity she is singing a dull song though the message behind it is very strong! The background shown on the screen was clearly the best.

5. Gonçalo Tavares – Tu Tens Uma Mágica
It’s time for the first male in the competition. Gonçalo Tavares is playing the piano for this rocky song. He is surrounded by sexy female dancers and they are soon joined by male dancers. The whole choreography is not sync with the style of the song and it looks messy. It may qualify in a very weak semi-final!

4. Yola Dinis – Outra Vez Primavera
Yola Dinis is the fourth singer to go on stage. The song is a bit old fashioned but the singer really sings with great passion. Her vocals are very good for this traditional song. She is encircled by string instrument players, including a traditional mandolin. Portugal is re-owned for sending traditional songs and this one received a very warm applause!

3. Filipa Baptista – A Noite Inteira
Third song on the night is performed by Filipa Baptista. The Portuguese singer is wearing an elegant blue dress. The song is an uptempo, typical song which switches into a ballad in the bridge. The act is a desperate wanna please Eurovision fans. There is a male dancer performing a dance routine. It might be the best so far but Portugal need to improve the level of songs.

Edward Montebello
March 3, 201510:35 pm

Ok let’s go for song 3

Edward Montebello
March 3, 201510:34 pm

After just 2 songs, some more talking in the green room. Guess why – just 6 songs in a 1 hour and half show!

2. Leonor Andrade – Há Um Mar Que Nos Separa
The second act is much stronger than the previous one. Leonor Andrade is wearing a long dark dress. She is accompanied by a band as she is singing a simple rock ballad. There are some great shots taking place with the aerial shots highly used for this song. The vocals need some improvement if this one qualifies!

1. Rita Seidi – Lisboa, Lisboa
The first song is performed by Rita Seide, who is clad in a colourful African style suit. The song also resembles some African tunes while two female dancers are moving around the stage. A very particular song but not strong enough to be a contender for Eurovision.
