Shalisa wins Junior Songfestival

The final of the Dutch national selection for Junior Eurovision, Junior Songfestival took place last night. We now have a winner, and representing The Netherlands in Sofia will be Shalisa with ‘Million Lights’.
Shalisa is 15 years old and comes from Wognum in Northern Holland. She beat 4 other competitors last night by a landslide, getting top marks from the public vote, the kids’ jury and the adult jury.
The Netherlands is one of just two countries to have taken part in every Junior Eurovision Song Contest since its inception meaning Shalisa will be the country’s 13th competitor, attempting to match Ralf and his victory in 2009. Junior Eurovision takes place on Saturday 21 November – have a listen to Shalisa’s entry, ‘Million Lights’ below.
