It’s been quite a year for Il Volo. Not only have they finish 3rd at Eurovision, increased their fan-base even more and performed all over the world, they now have a UK number one to add to their list of achievements. OK stick with us on this one…

Some of you may be aware that Elvis Presley recently released a posthumous album entitled If I Can Dream featuring The King’s original vocals with new arrangements courtesy of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. It is currently setting the charts alight all over the world, and is currently number one in the United Kingdom and Australia. Il Volo feature on one of the songs, a recording of one of Presley’s biggest hits, ‘It’s Now Or Never.’

In some places, the Italian group receive a “featured” credit, and in some places they don’t, but they do feature on the song, even if it’s little more than backing vocals, unlike the posthumous duet with Michael Bublé which was chosen as the album’s lead single.

Nonetheless, Il Volo are featured on a song that is included on an album that is currently atop the UK album charts. Therefore, Il Volo have a number one. And who could argue with that?

Have a listen to the song, preceded by comments from Priscilla Presley about the trio:

Content Manager: In the real world I work in PR and I love pizza, dogs and gin. When it comes to Eurovision I can be quite a cynical fan at times, but I can always be won over by a killer key-change.
