After having a national final last year, GPB, the Georgian broadcaster, decided to go internal to choose their artist for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. They have chosen Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitas for Stockholm.

At the same time, GPB has opened the call for songs for the band. There are however some requests. All songs have to be written especially for the band and have to fit in with the Eurovision rules (not commercially released before, 3 minutes or less in length). The requested style is described as a song with the ”melodic song structure of alternative and indie rock with electronic beats, synths and/or samples, and club orientation of post-disco dance music.”

If you think you have the right song for Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitas, you can submit your song to eurovision@gpb.ge until 8th January. The five best songs will make it through to the national final, where a jury and the public will pick the song for Stockholm.

Media Liaison: One of the founding members at escXtra. I'm the Dutchman who loves every little idiotic Eurovision fact there is. I usually listen to a lot of Eurovision music, but when I'm not, I listen to country music, schlager and pop, but mostly artists like Tina Turner, Emma, Ilse DeLange and Helene Fischer. On escXtra, you can find me doing pretty much anything that needs doing: Interviews, liveblogs or just your daily portion of news!
