After a mammoth three hour National Final, Ukraine finally came to a decision and has selected Jamala to represent the country in Stockholm with the song ‘1944’

Tonight’s winner was selected through a 50/50 split of televoting and votes of an expert jury panel which consisted of Andrey Danilko (aka Verka Serduchka – Ukraine 2007) Ruslana (Ukraine 2004) and famous composer Konstantin Meladze. Jamala received 5 pts points from the three jury members and 37% of the televote. This ended in a tie with The Hardkiss, although as the televote proceeds the jury vote – she is the winner tonight. This year, a total of 382,000 voted in the national final

Technical Assistant: I've been here since Day 1 (I actually had a full head of hair back then!), and whilst I enjoy reporting the news, I also aid in keeping things running tip top behind the scenes. Yep, I'm also a bit of a tech geek!
