Stockholm 2016

Bianca: "Eurovision is always such a fun night!" [Interview]

There’s just a few hours left before the United Kingdom has its first national final since 2010. Six acts are gearingup and we’ve spoken to the girl with a charting song already to her name and has Leona Lewis on her Eurovision team: Bianca. Check it out below!
escXtra.com: Hey Bianca! First of all, congrats on being part of Eurovision: You Decide. How does it feel to be competing?
Bianca: Amazing. I’m a massive Eurovision fan so this is really exciting for me. Still can’t quite believe it.
X: Why do you want to go to Eurovision?
B: Because it’s the best night of the year!!!!! I absolutely love Eurovision. I always end up getting blocked off Twitter on the night of Eurovision for tweeting too much. I LOVE IT!
X: Your song  Shine A Little Light has been co-written by quite the big name. How was it to work with Leona Lewis?
B: I didn’t actually meet Leona when I recorded it, I recorded with Biff and Ash who co wrote it with her. It was obviously a bit nerve-wracking because Leona’s vocals were already on the track and she’s so amazing!
X: What’s your best childhood memory?
B: I think family nights in with me making my parents watch every minute of Eurovision is probably up there with the best of my childhood memories. It’s always such a fun night and I’d always try to sing along to the entries even if I didn’t know them (much to my parents’ amusement I’m sure!) 🙂
X: What’s your favourite current pop tune?
B: Good question. I’m not sure. I think either Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud or Justin Bieber – Love Yourself.
X: You already had a good bit of success with Parade. Will that experience help you for Eurovision: You Decide?
B: Yeah I think so. We did a lot of gigging in the group, and supported some great artists and performed in front of a lot of big audiences so hopefully that will stand me in good stead for Friday night.
X: What does your ideal night out look like?
B: Can I ask for it to be an ideal night in? 😂 I love to stay in and watch a really good film and just chill in pyjamas. Haha.
X: What’s the best thing about your hometown Nottingham?
B: The people. 100%.
X: Could you tell us about your best friend?
B: She’s funny, lively and we never go more than a few minutes without laughing. Love her to bits.
We’d like to thank Bianca for her time to answer our questions and we’d like to wish her the best of luck in tonight’s UK national final.
