After the three-hour-marathon of the O Melodie Pentru Europa final Moldova has chosen their entry for Stockholm. Lidia Isac will represent the country with the song “Falling Stars”!

16 songs were competing in tonight’s show treating us with a very varied mix of all kinds of artistic performances. We went from warriors with motorcycle helmets to medieval singers to rapping peasants to acrobats struggling with toilet paper. It was a slightly confusing show at times.

In the end the jury’s favorite was the powerful ballad “Save Love” by Valeria Paşa. But the televoters turned the result around and pushed Lidia Isac and her electropop ballad “Falling Stars” to the top. It remains to be seen if this was a good choice for Moldova and if Lidia Isac will make it to the final in Stockholm. It’s hard to see any improvement to last year’s Eduard Romanyuta’s “I Want Your Love” to be honest.

I’m German and have been Eurovision-addicted ever since Lena won in 2010 – it’s a young love but all the more passionate! As a volunteer at the Song Contest 2015 in Vienna I got connected to the escXtra team. I’m scared of the day that Ralph Siegel will win again.
