The brand new series of The X Factor kicked off last night, and in tonight’s show which had a variety of singers from different backgrounds, there was one particularly artist that many Eurofans would recognise.

Saara Aalto, has a history with Eurovision having attempted to represent her country Finland on two separate occasions, and narrowly missing out on both by finishing a close second. More recently her 2016 national selection entry ‘No Fear’ scored a total of 154 points in the final, losing to eventual winner Sandhja by just 6 points.

On tonight’s second instalment of The X Factor, Saara introduced herself and talked about how this is her first ever time coming to the UK and how much she’s always wanted to be a Disney Princess.

“This is the first time I come to UK, so happy!”

“I’ve always had this one dream to be a real Disney Princess since I was a child. I can sing Let it Go in 15 languages”

After entering the audition room, she revealed to the Judges that she has done other talent shows in Finland but nothing on the level of the X Factor.

“I’ve performed a lot, a lot, I’ve done talent shows in Finland but I have never done anything like this, I need help which is why I came here”.

Soon after she sang Sia’s song Chandelier which impressed all of the judges on the panel, and in particular Nicole Scherzinger who was truly wowed by the Finnish beauty.

“That was so good you make me want to twerk right now, my ass wants to clap for you. You are the bomb dot com”

Did you watch Saara Aalto’s audition on tonight’s X Factor, and if so are you in love with her just like Judge Nicole Scherzinger? Does Saara have what it takes to go to the Judges Houses or even the Live shows? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

I first watched the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, and fell in love with Natalia Barbu and 'Fight'. I have a love for ethnic music, particular Armenian, Arabic, Turkish and Greek and one day in the near future look forward to an Armenian win. Its a pleasure to be a part of and continue my passion for Eurovision
