Iveta Mukuchyan, who represented Armenia in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest and gave the country a respectable 7th place finish, has released her latest single.

Iveta’s New single is entitled ‘Hars’ which means ‘Bride’ in English and showcases traditional Armenian elements, and particularly celebrates the different variety of Armenian dances with ‘Papuri’ being one of the types of Armenian dances. The dance itself involves clapping, while striking the ground with the heels or soles which helps to prevent any evil or negative energy. Along with the ‘Papuri’, there is the ‘Mayroke’ and the ‘Yarkhushta’ form of Armenian dance which are all included in the video.

Here’s the official music video for ‘Hars’.

You can also relive Iveta’s Eurovision performance of her entry ‘LoveWave’ below.

I first watched the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, and fell in love with Natalia Barbu and 'Fight'. I have a love for ethnic music, particular Armenian, Arabic, Turkish and Greek and one day in the near future look forward to an Armenian win. Its a pleasure to be a part of Escxtra.com and continue my passion for Eurovision
