Eurovision Trivia: The Weekly Quiz #1

Hello all readers, and welcome to the new format of the ESCXtra trivia quizzes during the National Final season. This is how the majority of the quizzes are going to look between now and May. They’ll be a challenge to check how you, the reader, are keeping up with the regular news that comes out every day about the contest. This week, there are questions from Albania to Australia, Ireland to Israel, from rumoured songs to rumoured hosts.

Every question in this quiz has its answers found in ESCXtra articles published during the last week. Maybe also a few days either side. Perhaps it was something being reported, maybe it was extra information that our writers left in the article. The answers will have been on this website very recently.
Before we start properly, there might be a few weeks that play with and drastically rip up this format going down the road. If it’s relevant to the week in question that is, but this week is normal.

In any case, I hope you’ll join us and have an attempt at the very latest in Eurovision trivia. It’ll also serve as a useful reminder of the headlines you have been reading this week.
