RTS reveal acts for Beovizija 2019

A few familiar faces in the Beovizija class of 2019!

Earlier this afternoon, Serbian broadcaster RTS have announced the 24 acts and songs which will compete for Serbia’s ticket to Tel Aviv! The songs were selected from a field of 76 songs that were submitted to the broadcaster. Radio Television of Serbia have not yet stated an exact date when Beovizija 2019 will be, but they have outlined it will be held in late February. Similarly, RTS have included a caveat that – as per their rules – in the event of any problems or issues, they have the right to choose another act or song!

  • Extra Nena – “Još ti čujem glas”
  • Funked Up – “Zašto da se ne desi”
  • Goga Stanić – “Ti znaš da ne znaš me”
  • Ivan Kurtić – “Bella”
  • Ivana Vladović & Wonder Strings – “Moja bol”
  • Jana Šušteršić – “Viktorija”
  • Lana & Aldo – “Pogledaj u nebo”
  • Lord – “Radnički sin”
  • Majdan – “Budim te”
  • Mr DOO – “Do 100”

There are a few familiar faces in the list above. Extra Nena represented Yugoslavia in 1992, coming 13th. Nevena Bozovic was a third of Moje 3 who sadly failed to qualify in 2013 with ‘Ljubav je svuda’. Jana Sustersic competed in EMA 2015 for a chance to be Slovenia’s representative in Vienna.

Serbia in Eurovision 2018

Last year in Lisbon, Serbia was represented by Sanja Ilić & Balkanika with the song ‘Nova Deca’. After coming 9th in the second-semi final, they came 19th in the Grand Final with 113 points. Notably, Serbia received four sets of 12 points from the televote!
