Tonight, the heats for Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, the selection show for Finland’s Eurovision representative, began. Six acts performed in front of a live audience tonight at the Peacock Theatre in Helsinki, with one going into the final, one being eliminated, and the rest moving onto the second chance round. The voting was decided by a mixture of jury and public vote.
Moving onto the final is Softengine with their song “Something Better”
Lili Lambert was eliminated.
Jasmin Michaela, MIAU, Hukka ja Mama, and Dennis Fagerström will head onto the second chance round.
Next Saturday the six remaining acts perform for their chance to move on to the UMK final or second chance round.
