According to RTVSlo’s official website, the broadcaster has decided to participate in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.
Slovenia were given a special deadline extension to make up their minds, which expired at the end of today. This afternoon a statement read that RTVSlo have decided to enter after considering the views of listeners and viewers who rate the Eurovision Song Contest as a highly popular show.
Slovenia’s entry takes the total number of participants this year to 37 – one higher than in Istanbul (which remains the lowest number of countries since the semifinal concept was introduced), but the lowest turnout since two semifinals were introduced in 2008.
