Donatan & Cleo will represent Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song My, Słowianie. The confirmation had been long expected and TVP has now confirmed the rumours.
Donatan & Cleo scored a big YouTube hit with My, Słowianie: over 38 million people watched the song online. Fans soon wanted to see the duo in Copenhagen, but only last week, Donatan said they were indeed in talks with TVP to represent Poland. Yesterday, the broadcaster said an announcement would follow today, but after Donatan’s post, where he asked his fans which version of the song they should perform, it is hardly a surprise that the duo will indeed go to Eurovision.
TVP has also announced that the duo is preparing a bilingual version of the song in English and Polish especially for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Poland will return to the Eurovision Song Contest this year after a two-year hiatus, after last participating in 2011, when Magdalena Tul came last in her semifinal with Jestem.
