Eurovision

Televoting results released

When Ruth Lorenzo won the Spanish National Final last Saturday, a social storm soon emerged and both Ruth & TVE were criticised by many fans who believed the result was ‘Unfair’.
After initially tie-ing in joint first place with fan favourite Brequette
, Ruth was crowned the winner as due to TVE’s rules should a tie occur, the song that received the most votes by the audience would gain the right to represent the country.
In response to the backlash received, TVE has now published the full televoting results of last Saturday’s final.
Ruth Lorenzo received a total of 30.97% telephone and SMS votes whilst Brequette, who was highly tipped for the win by both fans and bookmakers received 27.40% .
The voting results prove that there was only 3.5% between both songs.
