Tonight, Ireland is next in line to select its entry for this year’s contest in The Late Late Show: Eurosong Special
The five artists/songs competing in tonight’s National Final (In order of performance) are;
1. Patricia Roe – Don’t hold on
2. Eoghan Quigg – The Movie Song
3. Can-linn feat. Kasey Smith – Heartbeat
4. Andrew Mann – Be Mine
5. Laura O’Neill – You Don’t Remember Me
escXtra had the pleasure of interviewing some of the competing artists. Eoghan Quinn told us “: It would be amazing to represent my country on the international stage, just thinking of it gives me goose pimples”. Kasey Smith from Can-Linn expressed how she would feel if she wins tonight, telling us “The idea that the whole country has chosen you and is backing you, that must be a wonderful feeling”. Meanwhile Patricia Roe remains focused on her performance – ““All I can hope to do is go out and sing it well. If I do that, I will be happy”.
The winner will be decided by a combination of regional juries and public televote. The show begins at 22:35 CET and will be broadcast on RTÉ One. A live webcast for international viewers is also being provided by both RTÉ and Eurovision.tv
