Sverige, nu kör vi! Europe, here we go!
The fifth night of six weeks coverage of the Swedish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 takes place tonight. Melodifestivalen 2014 is fastly reaching its conclusion and although tonight features another eight artists vying for two tickets to the Final next week, we have seen all of the competing songs before.
Andra chansen, “the second chance” round, has a complicated process. All eight songs will perform in the running order below. Lines will close shortly after the final performance. At this point, the top five songs will proceed to the second round of voting. The fifth placed song will be eliminated and the top four will continue on to the duel phase of the show. Although positions are undisclosed, the song in fourth place will battle against the song in first place for one ticket to the final and the songs in second and third place will also compete against one another for the other ticket. The two winners of the duels will qualify to next week’s final.
