After four semi-finals and Andra chansen (The “Second chance” round) earlier this evening, Swedish broadcaster SVT is preparing for the final of Melodifestivalen 2014 by revealing the running order that this year’s finalists will perform in.
The final consists of four returning acts, and six debuting artists including the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest winner Helena Paparizou. Sanna Nielsen’s seventh attempt is tipped as her lucky one, as she is among the favorites to win this year’s contest. Fans’ favourite remains Helena Paparizou, while Ace Wilder continues to lead the Spotify, iTunes and other digital music charts.
The executive producers have been backstage since the end of Andra chansen, held earlier tonight, putting together the order in which the songs will perform on the stage at Friends Arena, Stockholm next week. For the first time since 2005, there are four songs which have qualified to the Final from Semifinal 1 due to the results from tonight’s Andra chansen.
There was also no traces of computerised voting found during Andra chansen tonight.
The running order is as follows:
1. Anton Ewald – “Natural”
2. Ellen Benediktson – “Songbird”
3. Alcazar – “Blame It On The Disco”
4. Oscar Zia – “Yes We Can”
5. Linus Svenning – “Bröder”
6. Helena Paparizou – Survivor”
7. YOHIO – “To the End”
8. Sanna Nielsen – “Undo”
9.Panetoz – “Efter solsken”
10. Ace Wilder – “Busy Doin’ Nothin'”
