BBC Present Molly and “Children of the Universe”

The song that will represent the United Kingdom in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest was premiered this evening. In a special show recorded last night, and broadcast through the BBC’s Red Button interactive service, semifinal commentator Scott Mills presented the public with “Children of the universe”, which will be sung by Molly Smitten-Downes in Copenhagen.
She penned the song herself, and performed it with a drummer and four backing singers on the stage.
Molly was part of the ‘BBC Introducing’ platform, the list for which was used by the BBC to select this year’s Eurovision entry. She mentioned that she was championed by Dean Jackson on local radio as part of that platform. On the song, Molly said:

I just wanted to be true to myself and connect with people
