After being one of the first artists to be announced as representing their nation at the Eurovision Song Contest, Austria’s Conchita Wurst has finally revealed her entry on the last day of song submission. Conchita will sing the ballad “Rise Like A Phoenix” in Copenhagen.
Conchita, who’s real name is Tom Neuwirth has been a polarising choice of performer with strong opinions for and against from Austria and abroad. On the selection of the song, Conchita herself said
‘Rise Like a Phoenix’ is a powerful song with a strong message behind which I stand by 100 percent.
