Copenhagen 2014

Eurostars Review 2014 – Jay Aston

With the rehearsals kicking off in Copenhagen, we’re going to continue our series of Eurostars Reviews. In the fourth of our series, we’re going to see what a former winner of the contest we all love thought. She was part of Bucks Fizz, the group who won the Eurovision Song Contest 1981: it’s Jay Aston!
AzerbaijanAzerbaijan: Dilara Kazimova – Start a Fire
Great voice, promising. But that’s a weak chorus.

LithuaniaLithuania: Vilija – Attention
That’s a big skirt! Didn’t like this one at all!

SwitzerlandSwitzerland: Sebalter – Hunter of Stars
That’s a complete take on Sing by Travis.

PortugalPortugal: Suzy – Quero Ser Tua
It’s Shakira-like, but a weak song. It’s nothing catchy.

FranceFrance: Twin Twin – Moustache
It’s fun, but dated.

RomaniaRomania: Paula Seling & Ovi – Miracle
That’s a great chorus, but also a weak verse.

BelarusBelarus: TEO – Cheesecake
Catchy. Fun. But it’s not a strong song. A good performance, but it’s not a winner.

We would just like thank Jay for sharing her opinions and furthermore, to state that these opinions are that of Jay herself, and not of everyone at escXtra. Feel free to give your own opinion in the comments below! Stay tuned for day five tomorrow!
