At last weekend’s Eurovision in Concert, ESCXTRA had the pleasure of talking to the Slovenian representative, Lea Sirk.

In the interview, Lea gave us some information regarding what the staging for her song “Hvala, ne” will be like in Lisbon. Those of you who have seen the EMA performance will have an idea of what to expect – but the performance will not remain exactly the same, and Lea promises it will be ‘upgraded’.
Furthermore, she had a rather surprising answer when we asked whether she prefers to be a backing vocalist or a solo artist. While she says she can’t tell for sure yet, she revealed that she prefered being a backing singer. As some of you may know, Lea has already been on the Eurovision stage once before: in 2014, she was a backing singer for Tinkara.
Lea Sirk will perform “Hvala, ne!” from the 17th position in the second semi-final on May 10th. The song was written by Lea herself, alongside Tomy DeClerque.
