Eurostars Review 2014 – Greta Salรณme

With the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 being only a few hours away, escXtra.com isย going to continue our series of Eurostars Reviews. In the sixth of our series, weโ€™re going to see what one of the most recent Icelandic entrants has to say: it’s Greta Salรณme!
LatviaLatvia: Aarzemnieki –ย Cake To Bake
This must be the most โ€œfeel good/no worries/ don’t take yourself to seriously-โ€ song of this year. I donโ€™t really know what people are gonna think but at least anyone can sing along and especially the children. The Latvians must sure do like their cake!
GermanyGermany: Elaiza –ย Is It Right
I don’t really know what to say about this song. I really like her voice but I do think it might be an uphill battle for Germany this year. I do like this song though and the rhythm is kinda cheeky.
IsraelIsrael: Mei Finegold –ย Same Heart
Just an amazing voice and I’m sure that the stage performance will be amazing. People really seem to like this song and I’m sure it will end up in top 10. Girl power all the way!

United KingdomUnited Kingdom: Molly –ย Children of the Universe
There is something about this song that catches you the first time you hear it and anyone can sing along. It’s powerful and I think it will definitely finish in the top 10. Solid vocal performance as well!
MaltaMalta: Firelight –ย Coming Home
What a great song! One of my favorites this year for sure! Good quality music, current and great performance! I like the mixture of the bluegrass and electric bass drum. This guy’s voice is amazing as well. Good luck Malta!
PolandPoland: Donatan & Cleo –ย My Sล‚owianie – We Are Slavic
This is probably gonna get a lot of Slavic votes. It will be interesting to see this on the big stage but as to the song itself I’m not sure how it will do. It all depends on the stage performance.
We would just like thank Gretaย for sharing her opinions and furthermore, to state that these opinions are that of Gretaย herself, and not of everyone at escXtra. Feel free to give your own opinion in the comments below! Stay tuned for the bonus part tomorrow morning!
