Anggun who represented France at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan has won an award at the World Music Awards 2014 which took place last night in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Despite much of her recent career taking part in France, Anggun received the honour thanks to her homeland, picking up the award for Best Indonesian Artist. Anggun’s popularity in Indonesia has recently soared once again due to appearances on Indonesian X Factor and Indonesia’s Got Talent. The award was decided based on album sales and internet voting.

Anggun also performed at the ceremony along with two other Eurovision related names; Two time Greek entrant Sakis Rouvas, Morocco’s only entrant Samira Said, Spanish national final 2002 runner up David Bisbal and Azeri interval act Emin.
Anggun came 22nd at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with her song Echo (You and I).
