ESCXTRA are live from Lisbon for day 8 of rehearsals ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018! It’s a very short day today because this afternoon, the blue carpet takes place ahead of the official Opening Ceremony!

Furthermore, read our handy guide for a more detailed look at this contest’s rehearsal schedule.
In addition, for our immediate reactions to every single rehearsal, you can follow our live stream from the press centre at the Altice Arena by visiting our YouTube channel.
The next artist to rehearse for the second time is SuRie for the United Kingdom. We have just watched their latest run through of Storm live on screen and here is our initial reaction.

Staging

She stands still in her LED/crystal style prop. They use some smoke on the stage which looks like they try to make it look like a storm with the power of the wind machines. The prop looks nice.
She starts moving on the way to the second chorus. She steps off the prop and during the third chorus even walks in front of it. At the end of the song they use a camera at the end of the prop and SuRie goes in the prop again.

Camera shots in this performance: 43

Vocal

Vocals are good. Her high note is not the strongest, but she works it.

Costume

She is wearing a white dress. It has a few glitter corset on it. Strawberry lipstick.

Left hand side of the board?

We have taken a flash poll from around the ESCXTRA table here in the press centre and  6 out of 7 of us say…

NO!
