It started in 2012 and this July, for the third year running, the Berlin Eurovision Group will host the Berlin Eurovision Weekend. From 18 to 20 July, fans from all over Europe will come together in the German capital to celebrate, party and enjoy a number of performances from very well-known Euro-guests. This year, the event is co-hosted (as they have done in the previous editions) with another branch of OGAE: the United Kingdom. As such, special guests include a former representative from each country. escXtra.com is the media partner for the event.
Corinna May, who represented Germany in 2002 with ‘I Can’t Live Without Music’ is one of the German guests for the weekend. She will be joined by Scott Fitzgerald, who represented the United Kingdom with ‘Go’ and ended as a runner up only one point behind Céline Dion in a nerve-wracking voting. In addition, the Portuguese representative in Copenhagen this year, Suzy, will be joining the party and hopefully make everyone dance.
The programme for the event is the following:
Friday 18 July:
Arrival and welcome evening (Eurovision party)
Saturday 19 July:
Afternoon: Reunion and/or Member Contest
Sightseeing tour of Berlin (available on demand)
Evening: Gala & Concert with Corrina May, Scott Fitzgerald and Suzy
After-party with two floors of music to dance
Sunday 20 July:
Eurovision Brunch | Fan get-together | Euro-quiz
Tickets are €36 and include all the events in the programme. You can buy your tickets here.
