After a massive third place finish in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Sweden’s Sanna Nielsen has turned from the Eurovision stage to the musical stage, playing the lead role Lara in the musical Dr Zhivago which runs at the Malmö Opera from the 29th of August until the 31st January. The 29 year-old has kept busy since her success at Eurovision, learning the lines and musical numbers for her musical debut, while also preparing for the release of her album 7, which came out yesterday.
While she also appeared in SVT’s much-loved Allsång på Skansen, she is also planning a Christmas tour and then a much-deserved holiday in Thailand in February. While the future past then for Sanna remains unclear, she has ruled out a return to Melodifestivalen and Eurovision saying “It feels as if that chapter is closed. I am ready for a new period in my life.”
Sanna will also appear at the Killebomfestival tomorrow in Sölvesborg.
