After running a poll earlier this year questioning their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, FYR Macedonia have now announced to participate in Austria. Furthermore, they have also announced that their national final, Skopje Fest, will return.
After three years of international selections, which brought the Balkan country just one final qualification, with Kaliopi in 2012, MRT has now decided it is time to bring back Skopje Fest. FYR Macedonia will join Malta in the countries that will decide early in the season: Skopje Fest will take place on 13 November.
Skopje Fest will consist of twenty competing songs. The top three of these will be rewarded with prizes and the winner will obviously travel to Austria to fly the Macedonian flag during Eurovision 2015.
More details regarding FYR Macedonia’s participation and Skopje Fest 2015 will be revealed at a later date.
