Switzerland will select it’s Eurovision Song Contest 2015 entry on 31 January, according to an article today published by SRF that also outlines their selection procedure.
From 29 September until 27 October, the annual online round will open on SRF’s Eurovision web pages. As usual, online users are able to vote, and their points will be combined with those of an expert jury. This will select 9 singers representing SRF and RTR.
The next phase sees the ‘Expert Check’, where the 9 SRF candidates will join 6 from RTS and 3 from RSI to perform their songs live in front of an expert jury. The jury will be judging the love vocal capabilities, song quality, and stage presence. From these 18, the finalists will be selected as follows:
- 3 from SRF/RTR
- 2 from RTS
- 1 from RSI
These six acts will take part in the all-Swiss ‘Entscheidungsshow’ on 31 January in the Bodensee-Arena in Kreuzlingen, here a 50-50 split of public and jury voting will decide the winner.
