In an interview with the Austrian newspaper Vorarlberger Nachrichten, the General Director of ORF has revealed that the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 will not be hosted on the preliminary dates, but a week later: on 19, 21 and 23 May.
Alexander Wrabetz, the General Director, said that the final will take place on 23 May, as all venues were available for that date. That automatically means the semis will be on 19 and 21 May. Wrabetz added that it’s still a race between three cities: Graz, Vienna and Innsbruck.
The interview comes a day after EBU announced that we will hear the venue for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 quite soon. They reported that Wrabetz had said that the decision will be taken late July or early August. That means we’re only days away from knowing where the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 will take place.
The three venues, as was announced earlier, are the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Stadthalle Graz in Graz and OlympiaWorld in Innsbruck. Vienna was the early favourite, but more and more people have started to believe in Innsbruck’s chances lately.
