Back in 1935, with but a few people in the audience, Allsång på Skansen came to life. There were no more than 50 people in this open air festival that, nowadays, gathers between 10,000 and 25,500 viewers for each performance. The idea is for the people to sing along to famous music, and since 1979 the show has been broadcast by SVT.
This evening, the stage at Skansen will see a number of familiar faces to the Eurovision world. Conchita Wurst, this year’s winner will be there, together with Alcazar and Panetoz both of which reached this year’s Melodifestivalen final. Other guests include Weeping Willows, Ola Salo, Stefan Nilsson and Anna Ling City & Lidingö Motet Choir. The host is Petra Marklund.
