Montenegrin national broadcaster RTCG confirmed last month that the country is to make its debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta, and today it announced that it will be represented by the duo, Maša and Lejla.
Maša Vujadinović is 14 years old and Lejla Vulić is 12, and they both come from Podgorica. Both girls study music and have already won several awards at music festivals.
The girls will represent their country with the song ‘Budi Dijete Na Jedan Dan’ (Be A Child For A Day), the lyrics to which have been written by the Maša and Lejla themselves. Meanwhile, the music has been composed by Slaven Knezović, who co-wrote No Name’s ‘Zauvijek Moja’ (Serbia & Montenegro, 2005) and ‘Ajde Kroči’ by Stevan Faddy (Montenegro, 2007) at the adult contest.
‘Budi Dijete Na Jedan Dan’ will be released in mid-September.
