Moments ago Italian entertainment news website Sorrisi announced that 13 year old Vincenzo Cantiello will represent Italy in their first participation at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Vincenzo is not a new name to the Italian music scene having participated in the televised singing competition’Ti lascio una canzone’ this year.
Interestingly, the winner of this year’s version of ‘Ti lascio una canzone’ was none other than Federica Falzon, who will this year be representing Malta. Last year’s winner, Michele Perniola was the San Marinese performer at Junior Eurovision and in 2011 Maltese winner Gaia Cauchi also participated.
It has yet to be revealed what song Vincenzo will be singing in Malta.
