Vienna 2015

‘Building Bridges’ chosen as 2015 slogan

The host broadcaster of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, ORF, and EBU have revealed the slogan for next year’s Eurovision. The slogan will be Building Bridges.
General director of ORF Dr. Alexander Wrabetz spoke to Eurovision.tv about the selected slogan. He said:

After the decision for Vienna as the host city and the nomination of the complete core team, we have set another important milestone on the way of organising the world’s largest TV entertainment event by choosing the slogan. With “Building Bridges” we have chosen a theme, the idea of Europe with the uniting character of music and that in Vienna, the traditional capital of world music in the heart of Europe.

The idea for this slogan came from a creative agency from Austria, PKP BBDO. Their idea was chosen out of many ideas that were suggested to ORF. The selection of the slogan means ORF and EBU can now start working on on-screen graphics and a logo, which might be revealed in just a few weeks.
Building Bridges is in line with the latest tradition in Eurovision slogans, which show Europe as a unity, pointing out that Eurovision is an event for all people. Just last year, the slogan was #JoinUs. The year before that, SVT chose We Are One as their slogan.
