Two Austrian Eurovision experts, Mario R. Lackner and Irving Wolther, have written a book about this year’s Eurovision winner: Conchita Wurst. The book is called Conchita Wurst – backstage and will be out on 16 September.
The book will not only tell Conchita’s story, but also the story of Tom Neuwirth, who’s behind Conchita Wurst. The story will be told using conversations the authors had with important people for Conchita’s career. Examples are Mr. Neuwirth, who considers himself to be Tom’s father and Conchita’s grandfather and also the pastor from Bad Mitterndorf, where Tom grew up, singing in a church choir.
Conchita Wurst – backstage will be published in German only at first, but author Mario R. Lackner told escXtra.com in an e-mail that there are already plans to translate the book to English.
