Italian broadcaster RAI has, as expected, confirmed their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. The announcement was made on Facebook.
It is not yet known how RAI will select their entry for Vienna. Last year, the selection was completely internal and separated from the Italian Sanremo Festival, but the years before that, an act was always found through that show.
It will be the fifth Italian participation since their comeback in 2011. Since that year, Italy has made the top ten thrice in a row (2011, 2012 and 2013). Only Italian super star Emma Marrone didn’t manage to reach the left side of the scoreboard: her entry La Mia Città came 21st in Copenhagen this year.
