escXtra.com contacted RTSH and we can now confirm our earlier statement that Albania has indeed not yet confirmed participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, contrary to rumours going around.
RTSH opened submissions for the fifty-third annual Festivali i Këngës a few weeks ago, without mentioning its stand on participation. The contest is likely to be held by late-December at the Palace of Congress in Tirana. The latest we will know about Albania’s participation in Eurovision will be October 10th, when the participation deadline for the contest is.
