Alisa Kozhikina will represent Russia in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The 11-year old has been internally picked by RTR, the Russian broadcaster.
Alisa is most famous for winning the first season of The Voice Kids in Russia. In that show, she was mentored by Maxim Fedeev. Fedeev has also produced Alisa’s self-written Junior Eurovision attempt, which is called Little Dreamer.
Russia is one of the most successful countries in Junior Eurovision since its debut in 2005 by always finishing in the top ten. They’ve won the contest once, with the Tolmachevy Twins and finished fourth on their last three attempts.
