Skopje Fest faces vote-rigging allegations

Several individuals have been questioned today by the Macedonian police over alleged voting irregularities arising from last night’s Skopje Fest final.
Whilst none of the individuals in question are connected to the eventual winner, Daniel Kajmakoski (Daniel himself also stresses that he is not involved in the investigation), more than 1000 pre-paid mobile SIM cards have been seized and are believed to have been used in an attempt to block vote for a song in last night’s show.
The people alleged to have been responsible are a composer and a producer, while the producer of last night’s show and the owners of the company behind the televoting have also been questioned.
The police have reiterated that the alleged scandal has no effect on last night’s overall result, and so Daniel Kajmakoski will still fly the flag for Macedonia in Eurovision 2015 with ‘Lisja Esenski.’
